What are your qualifications?
I am a qualified primary school teacher, with 15 years of teaching experience, teaching children aged 5-11 years. I have Paediatric First Aid Training. By booking, you consent to your child receiving First Aid as necessary. I have completed Safeguarding Training as well as Keeping Children Safe in Education Training.
Joanne is a qualified primary school teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience.
Are your staff DBS checked?
We have enhanced DBS checks which enable us to work with children.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes.
What is the age range of the children?
The workshops are aimed at children aged 5 - 10 years.
If your child is in Reception but has not yet turned 5, contact us via email for further guidance.
Can my child attend for just one day?
To provide the children with the best experience, as they will be doing a range of activities over the course of the week, it would be advised to attend both workshops in the week. If, however, this is not possible, then one workshop can also be booked.
Will my child bring any work home?
Yes, definitely. The children will be creating a range of high-quality pieces of work daily that they will be able to take home at the end of the session.
What are the costs for holiday arts & crafts workshops?
One session: £45
Two sessions: £85
Three sessions: £120
* Siblings receive a 5% discount.
What are the costs for after school arts & crafts sessions?
Individual sessions: £12 each
Five sessions: £50
Do you offer refunds?
We have a NO REFUND policy. If your child is unable to attend a session, a text message or email must be sent to Satvinder by 6pm the day before to change their session to an alternative day.
Should we need to close due to government guidelines, we will issue a refund (minus £10 administration fee).
Can my child sit with their friends/siblings?
Yes! The children are not separated by age, so they can sit next to whoever they want to at the workshops, and during snack time/lunch time as well.
Do you provide food?
Lunch is not included for your child but we will provide a healthy snack at break time; however, you are more than welcome to send in your own snack if you would prefer. Please provide your child with a packed lunch. NO NUTS PLEASE. Also, ensure that your child has a refillable water bottle. Make sure that all lunch boxes/bags and water bottles are clearly named.
What clothes does my child need to wear?
Art can be messy! Send your child to the workshops wearing comfortable clothing (that you don't mind getting a little messy) and appropriate footwear. You can send in an old shirt to protect your child's clothing. No aprons will be supplied. On the day of the workshop, send in a coat/jacket if the weather is not looking great. Please ensure that all coats/jackets and items of clothing that may be removed (such as jumpers) are clearly labelled with your child's name. We will not accept responsibility for missing items of clothing.
How many children attend each day?
We have a maximum number of 28 children per holiday workshops and 20 children for after school sessions.
Will you be taking any photos of my child?
Throughout the sessions, we will take photos and videos of the children and/or their work. These photos and videos will be used on the Fancy Pancy Bits & Bobs website, Facebook and Instagram pages. If you do not want your child's photo to be taken, or if you do not want your child's photo to be used on any social media platform, then please indicate this on the booking form.
Can my child bring a mobile phone?
We would strongly encourage the children to leave mobile phones at home. However, if your child brings a mobile phone to the workshops, it will be taken by a member of staff at the start of the session, locked in a secure location, and then returned before the end of the session.
What time is drop off and collection?
Drop off is at 9:00am, as that is when we will open the doors and ask you to sign your child in. The session will start promptly at 9:15am, so please try to be on time.
Collection is at 3:00pm so please arrive promptly. If someone else is collecting your child, please ensure that a member of staff is told in the morning.
Will you be running any other workshops this year?
Booking for the May Half Term Holiday arts and crafts workshops are now open.
Arts and crafts workshops will be running during the Summer holidays. Dates are currently published at the bottom of the Home Page.
Will the venue always be the same?
Although I will try to keep the venue the same for each workshop that is run throughout the year, the venue's availability may be limited, therefore an alternative venue may need to be used. At the time of booking, the venue will be secured, and will generally always be within the local area (Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, and surrounding areas).
For any other questions, send us an email.
